Jill VanMatre is an Atlanta, GA native. Growing up in a creative family allowed her to follow her dream of working in the creative arts industry.
Art and photography have always been a big part of Jill's life, for as long as she can remember. From hanging out on commercial sets with her Production Designer and Art Director Dad, to painting professional signs with her Grandpa, to taking pictures with her Aunt's old cameras from art school, art has always played an instrumental role in Jill's life.
Jill attended Kennesaw State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Jill also minored in Art with a concentration in Drawing and Painting.
After college, Jill completed several internships with various women business owner associations, as well as an internship with an event planning company. She studied photography as an apprentice and started her own photography business, Jill D Photography, LLC in 2012. Along with authors Cheryl (Jill's Aunt) and Judy (Jill's Mom), Jill is currently working on a series of children's books about Engineering. Jill is a published illustrator, and her books can be found with a quick amazon search!
On a professional level, Jill has many years of management experience, has worked as a Production Assistant and Art Coordinator in the commercial industry while in college, excels at interpersonal communication skills, and is an effective leader and team player.
While photography is a passion of Jill's, it is more of a passionate hobby. Jill is currently a producer for a digital marketing agency in Atlanta working with big clients, such as AT&T, producing digital in-store content.
On a personal note, Jill is a Mom of two children - Clover, a fiery, passionate red-head, and Miles, a sweet blue-eyed Momma's boy. She is a lover of laughing, dancing, rainbows, reading, and Dr. Pepper. Jill and her kids have 2 quirky cats named Phoebe and Matilda, and they live in Decatur, GA.
